Housing Choice Program (Previously known as Section 8):
The Housing Choice Voucher Program is the program formerly known as Section 8 Housing. HUD (US Department of Housing and Urban Development) provides the assistance for the Housing Choice Program.

The Section 8 program was started as a housing subsidy program in 1937.

Housing Choice provides subsidized assistance for low income housing of families. Affordable housing through the housing choice program is prevailant throughout the US.
